Seven things Atlas does for a practice

A short annotated tour. Every screen below is the real product; none of it contains patient data, because Atlas never holds any.

STEP 1 · X-RAY

Read any EMIS search in plain English

Drop an EMIS search export onto the page and X-Ray reads it back: what the search is for, the logic in plain English, and a flow diagram of exactly how a patient is included or excluded, rule by rule. It reads the searches you already own the same way it reads ours.

Exports contain rules only, never patient data, and the reading happens in your browser.

STEP 2 · SEARCHES

Take the whole QOF year, ready to import

52 ready-made suites cover all 43 paid QOF indicators for 2026/27: 369 reports, including outstanding-patient worklists that name who still needs doing rather than just counting them. Download the whole estate as one EMIS-importable file, or take a single condition’s suite. Every search reads back in plain English through X-Ray, and when NHS England changes the rules mid-year the estate follows fast: July’s v51.1 update shipped inside 72 hours.

Every suite is machine-checked against the official NHS business rules before it ships; any knowing difference is documented in the app, never silent.

STEP 3 · FORECAST & THE DRIVE BOARD

Score the year, then see exactly what to do next

Forecast opens with a clearly-watermarked sample so you can see the whole board before you commit a single number. Add your own counts (one EMIS import gives all of them in one run) and it becomes your real position: points earned, points still on the table, and an indicative pounds figure. Scroll on and the drive board takes over, ranking every indicator by deadline-weighted points at stake: where it stands today, where it lands by 31st March at the current rate, and which single appointment feeds the most indicators at once.

Entries live in your browser only. They are never uploaded, and a one-page monthly management report generates from the same figures.

STEP 4 · INCOME ASSURANCE

See what income is still on the table, and who to call for it

This is the question a practice manager actually walks in with: what is still unearned this year, and what would it take to earn it. Income assurance answers it in two halves. It reads the counts you already keep in Forecast to show where every indicator stands against its thresholds, and it takes the styled list report you already export for Recalls to name the patients sitting just short of one. Those patients are then grouped by the appointment that would clear the most at once, so a single visit does the work of several, and the list is ordered so the highest yield calls come first.

Where a figure is shown beside a group, it is the movement that clearing that group would actually produce, never a slice of the whole indicator's value, because those two numbers are far apart and only one of them is honest. No patient is ever given a pound value: on an all or nothing indicator the money is the cohort clearing the threshold, not any one person in it.

Both halves run in your browser, and the page opens on a clearly watermarked sample so you can see the whole board before you commit a single real figure. Nothing you load is sent to us.

STEP 5 · RECALLS

Run the round, and get a list you can actually work

Recalls is built as a routine rather than a feature. It hands you the search to import, tells you exactly where in EMIS to import it, and warns you that the import lands in whichever folder you have selected. After that every round is the same three steps: run it, export the list, drop the file on the page. Atlas sorts the result into send lists that do not overlap, so nobody is contacted twice for the same thing, and every list carries the NHS number so it drops straight into whatever you already use to reach people.

The export never leaves your browser. It is also the same file the income view above reads, which is why the two are worth doing in one sitting.

STEP 6 · THE FORGE

Answer the questions, and the Forge writes the search

The Forge asks what you are looking for one question at a time: who to include, which codes count, what date window applies. It writes the search from your answers and compiles an EMIS-importable file on the spot, with no XML in sight. A search you already have opens for editing the same way, so changing an age band, a date window or a code list is the same plain-English job. The compile step is the only thing that ever touches our server, and it sends search logic only, never patient data.

An AI-assisted builder is in beta for all signed-in users: it drafts a search from a plain-English request, and a human always reviews the draft before anything compiles.

STEP 7 · ROTA

A month’s rota, solved on one page

The Rota Builder keeps the appointments rota and the room rota together, with a live conflict checker so a clash shows the moment it is created. Let auto-fill draft the month, and if necessary adjust by hand, then save the result as a single self-contained file: anyone can open it in a browser, it is still editable there, and there are no logins and no spreadsheet wrestling.

Rota data stays in this browser, and the saved file is yours to share however you already share documents.

Everything patient-facing runs in your browser or inside your own clinical system. No patient data is ever sent to us. Our one server compiles search logic when you build or edit a search: definitions only, never patient data.
